Coastal Wildlife Breaks- A unique opportunity to spend time exploring the Moray Firth and its stunning wildlife with our founder, marine biologist and dolphin expert, Deborah Benham (PhD). The Moray Firth in north east Scotland is famous for its resident population of dolphins, the biggest and most northerly bottlenose dolphins in the world. Our local bay is home to a large population of common seals and a huge variety of waders and wild fowl. A short distance away there are huge seabird cliffs which offer wonderful opportunities to see nesting gannets (Britain's largest seabird), puffins, kittiwakes, fulmar, guillemots, razorbills and puffins. On occasion we are also lucky enough to see harbour porpoises, basking sharks and minke whales. Deborah has worked with the dolphins and other wildlife in this area for the last seven years ( including 6 yrs with the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society - (www.wdcs.org) and can share a wealth of information and stories about these amazing animals. In addition to watching from land and sea there will also be opportunities for rock-pool exploration, beach combing, coastal walks and marine themed arts and crafts.
